My name is Alex. I’m a photographer, marketing & events coordinator, and social media specialist in the food and hospitality industry. My goal is to establish an impactful digital presence and refined brand voice through events and partnerships, unique content strategies, and growth analyzation.

I graduated from New York University with a major in Food Studies and a minor in Creative Writing, where I focused on digital marketing and journalism within the food and hospitality industries. I also trained in professional kitchens in New York - I believe you can’t be a professional in a field without knowing every aspect of it. I also just love to cook.

I am currently the Social Media Manager for Fearless Restaurants’ 11 properties. I also freelance as a photographer and digital marketing consultant. In the past, I worked with Goose Island Philadelphia, Union Square Hospitality Group, High Street Hospitality Group, and various restaurants and publications in New York City, such as Saveur Magazine. You can find examples of my most recent work under “Experience.” I also helped start New York University’s Bite Club, a digital platform for students interested in food, photography, and journalism to publish their own content and forge connections with local eateries through media spotlights. I moved back to Philadelphia immediately after graduating from New York University.

You eat with your eyes first.

My mother used to tell me this every night when we sat down to eat dinner. She would have me observe the recipes that we made, identify the components of the dish, and understand why the ingredients were combined in such a way. She taught me to appreciate how things look, the stylized choices that are made to draw people in, and how to keep them coming back for more. I wanted to take the things that my mother taught me and turn them into a career. I want to make people as excited about everything within this industry as I am.

Connect with me on LinkedIn, or check out my personal Instagram, where I’m probably cooking something or posting pictures of my dog.
